Charlottesville
is best known for Monticello, the home of
Thomas Jefferson and his University. The University of Virginia includes Darden Business School, the Law School, Curry School of Education,
the University of Virginia Medical
School and UVa Hospital.
We also have a great way to get into UVa if your HS grades were not the
best. If you are lucky, you can get straight A's at our community college (PVCC) taking your first two years of liberal
arts courses. PVCC is not an easy community college, but it is reasonable
in price if you are a resident and they do accept many courses from
PVCC at UVa.
Charlottesville
is also filled with fabulous public, private
and religious schools for grades K-12.

Downtown Mall outdoor theatre, the Charlottesville Pavilion.
The Downtown Mall hosts
fabulous restaurants and unique shops. Closer to UVa we have
our Barracks Road Shopping
Center and further north is our indoor mall the Fashion Square Mall.
All are designed for a wonderful shopping experience. Our City Market open 7AM
-12 noon on Saturdays, April through October gives you the opportunity
to buy fresh produce and home baked goods along with chatchkas.
We
also have a theatres like Live arts, and a really progressive movie theatre,
and an inexpensive movie theatre.
And we have some fabulous
restaurants. I already said that, didn’t I? Check out my favorite,
with Chef Jaise Burke. If you call them for a reservation, tell them
the Chef’s mom sent you.
